All Sts. Catholic School Reviews

I feel that this school, which I attended for three years, was the biggest waste of money spent on education for me and my brother. The teachers are untrained, and uneducated. The principal and vice principal do nothing to fix any problems within the school. The education is based mainly around the Catholic religion, with little focus on anything else. I spent six years learning Spanish in a public school, and was appalled when the children in this school didn't even know how to count to ten, or recite the alphabet, all things I learned in Kindergarten. The students that attend this school are sheltered from the rest world, meaning that they have no idea what goes on beyond the pearly gates of All Saints. Don't assume that what you see is what you'll get.

All Saints has proven time and time again that it is a mediocre school that is dangerous to the students due to the inattention, lack of training and education of its staff and administration. We left our children there for 6 years before pulling them out when the situation became intolerable. They are in public school now and thriving. Their self esteem slowly being restored and finally learning things they were not appropriately taught at All Saints.

Our daughter switched to All Saints from the Westport Public School system in the 4th grade. We thought she might be upset about the uniforms and the increase in homework - but she loves it. Although the curriculum is more challenging and she has more homework, she is thriving academically and socially. She has made some wonderful friends and gained confidence in her academic ability. In addition, she is learning wonderful study habits. We couldn't be happier.

After attending the Westport public school for several years, I enrolled my three children in All Saints Catholic School. I have found the the curriculum as well as the community outstanding! My children have been challenged and as my 10 year old son said 'I feel like my brain is growing!'

I went to this school for one year and got out of there immediately. The teachers were very disrespectful to both me and my parents. Teachers also spent way too much time talking about how 'bad' the public schools are. The staff was not any better, especially the assistant principal who is very rude. I switched back to public school and immediately made honors the first quarter.

I went to All Saints from pre-k to 8th grade I felt like that was the biggest waste on money that my parents had ever spent. Even though I appreciate their thoughts on trying to have me get the best education the school was based more on religion then on teachings. Many teachers (not all) were so mean to the children, the way they d yell and scream so much sometimes you would think they were your parents. You think that as a private school you learn so much and you re at a higher level than other children from public schools and come out to be that you re all the same. As I'm studying elementary education that school is definitely not a school I would ever want to teach or in fact send my child too for what I've seen with my own eyes.
